Philosophies of leadership are determined by beliefs about human nature.

Lets start with a great leader. Our leader is cunning, strong and effective. Now, we need to add how he or she acts towards their followers. How he or she will act is determined on how they see humanity as a whole. Do they see humanity as caring, intelligent and people with morals? Or, do they see humanity as creatures fighting for the last piece of meet in the darkness? If they see humanity as something good, they will lead their followers with compassion and understanding. They will try to connect with them more, than stay distant. They will feel more pain when somebody gets hurt or dies than a person who has a negative view on humanity. If a leader has a negative view on humanity, they will not care how their followers feel. They will distant themselves from their followers and leave the dying behind. 

I agree that depending on how a leader sees humanity, their leadership skills will be different. Since humans are only interested in their self gain, they will not care very much for their followers. The leader will have a strict rule because the purpose of the third party is to rule, and not get involved with the two parties. The leader will be the light in the distance, never getting closer, never helping

The governed have a responsibility for their governed.
There are three ways that a leader can be chosen for you:

1. You choose who is the leader. This is called an election.
2. A leader is your leader because he or she says they are, or they have the most power. This is considered following the one with the biggest muscles.
3. You are not happy with who your leader is, so you overthrow them. This is called a revolution. 

You have to understand that all humans want to be ruled, so there is no way you can dodge being ruled (unless you live in the woods by yourself). If you chose your leader, you have chosen them because you believe they have all the strengths a leader should have, they are charismatic, strong, productive and kind. You have to realize that being a leader puts lots of stress on someone, so make sure to spread out the leadership roles to help keep your leader sane. Also, spreading out the power makes sure your leader doesn't become power hungry, we'll come back to that later.
If your leader chose them self, you may be in for a bumpy ride. Your leader is their because you and another party have had a disagreement. They are there on the sole purpose of solving your disagreement. They will probably take what you were fighting over and split it evenly. If your self elected leader or third party gets a thrill off having power over you, you are in trouble. See, if you over throw the third party, you now have no one to tell you who's turn it is to play on the xbox, so you would be putting yourself back at square one.
Now, if you have elected your leader, lucky you! You can now have an uprising. This means you overthrow government and elect somebody new or even yourself to become the new leader. The problem with this is that you will most likely become the government you overthrew. A prime example of this would be Animal Farm. It is telling how the Soviet Union would not be able to work because it would turn out to be just like the government before it. It is hard to become a different government, as you will encounter the problems of the previous government and have to resort to tactics they used.
It is hard to be the government, because you have to make decisions. I believe that the governments only job is to be there to solve arguments.

Human Nature does not determine our actions,: it inclines us towards us towards certain actions
Nobody will know what you are going to do. If humans are kind and compassionate, than they will try and help other people. If their human nature is survival, they will try to  survive. I believe that humans want to survive, so they will do whatever it takes to survive. If there is a fire, a person will try and survive themselves.
